Wrinkle Relaxers

An anti-aging favorite for a reason! Using the power of injectable neurotoxin proteins, these treatments combat fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily preventing the contraction of muscles under your skin. While many know this as Botox, there are actually a variety of FDA-approved relaxers on the market. We offer both Botox and Dysport – let’s chat about which is right for you during your consultation!

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT’S THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE TREATMENT?

In your natural anatomy, your brain works together with your muscles to tell them when to contract. Wrinkle relaxers block that signal, temporarily preventing the repetitive movements that cause creasing and wrinkles in the skin. Wrinkle relaxers are proteins that are injected into muscles and work beneath the surface to temporarily reduce the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. Neuromodulators temporarily prevent the repetitive movements that cause creasing and wrinkles in the skin.

What can I expect during my procedure?

All treatments start with an in-depth and personalized consultation to go over your problem areas, skin goals, and treatment options. This will determine the volume and number of neurotoxin injections. Treatment sessions generally last around 30 minutes.

Is there any downtime with this treatment?

There’s typically no downtime with wrinkle relaxers. Sessions are quick and easy! Meaning you can book your appointment for some self-care during lunch time and return to work just minutes later. When you book your appointment, you’ll receive an informative email about preparing for your appointment and post-care instructions, which we also discuss in person!

How long until I see results? How long do they last?

While the onset for a neuromodulator is 24-48 hours, visible results are typically present within 3-7 days post treatment. Best results appear within 2-3 weeks from injection and full results within 30 days. Results generally last up to 3-4 months, however, it varies depending on your unique anatomy.
